Italy is a country not only of pizza, football and olives, but also of haute cuisine, one of the best in the world, which is unthinkable without wine and cheese! Do you want to go down into the cellar of an ancient castle, accompanied by its owner - a marquis, whose family has lived here for many hundreds of years, and taste home-made wine of your own!? You've come to the right site! This unforgettable experience is one click away!

VitaluxTransfer organises wine and gastronomic tours in Piedmont, Tuscany, Liguria, Lombardy... in general in the whole of northern Italy. Here we know all not only world famous wineries and wine factories, but also small authentic wine cellars in the deep Italian countryside.... Yes, yes! The very ones you have just imagined: a small "villetta" surrounded by vineyards, the smell of flowers and the buzzing of bees, a family of Italians who have been involved in winemaking for many generations, a cordial, chatty host pours you some wine in a glass straight from the barrel... explains something emotionally in Italian, then pulls you to the next barrel, while the hostess sets the table.

“Better go drunk and begging round the taverns.
Khayyam, drink wine, for soon this clay of yours
Will make a cup, bowl, one day a jar.
When once you hear the roses are in bloom,
Then is the time, my love, to pour the wine;
Houris and palaces and Heaven and Hell-
These are but fairy-tales, forget them all.”

Examples of Excursions - Tagliolo Castle

Chateau Tagliolo, in the possession of the Marquis Pinelli Gentile since 1498, stands proudly above the spacious vineyards of Alto Monferrato, which have always been considered one of the best places to grow Dolcetto di Ovada. A range created from strictly selected vines, grown in their private vineyards, includes fine varieties such as the famous "Castagnola" - aged in oak barrels dolcetto (classic method), as well as the traditional white and red wines of the chateau.

The incomparable dessert version Ambra Nobile and the enriched, slightly sparkling dolcetto (semi-sweet) called Gentile complete the rich selection.

Various events are often organised inside the castle walls, including weddings and gala dinners, and guests can enjoy staying in the elegantly decorated guest houses of the Medieval Village surrounding the castle, with a spacious private garden for their comfort. The Tagliolo Castle Cultural Society was established in 2014 and endeavours to support a variety of activities: cultural, artistic, educational and social. It is also active in organising commercial activities such as tours of the castle and private meetings.
